Classic Mini Cooper got pimped (not really)

This is how I slowly transformed my Classic Austin Mini Cooper 850 into an eye catching cute car with a limited budget.

lastly added white flares,

It turned out good right, presenting my CLASSIC AUSTIN MINI COOPER 850.

I also purchased a classic door handles and a Mark I doors but did not have the opportunity to replaced it because I already sold the unit to my Dad in 2007. Don’t worry he bought me a new 1.3 CLASSIC MINI COOPER which we transformed into a 35th Anniversary Edition look.

My First Classic Mini Cooper

Everyone have dreamt of buying their first car. back in April 2005 I’ve promised myself that 1 year from this date I should buy my first car (April 14, 2006). It would be a present to myself and to my daughter Gaby. As the day goes by I always kept in mind to save a little for that car, which I haven’t thought of what specific car should I buy. At that time I was using our Feroza and Montero as my daily drive not shabby enough to be noticed but those two are a very reliable car that serves their purpose of bringing me to point A to point B technically what a car should be.

Back in college, I want to own an Opel Tigra, Mazda Miata or the Classic Mini Cooper. Buying one of this cars would be the perfect gift for myself. When an opportunity for me owning a Classic Mini Cooper arises I would definitely grab it. It was March 27, 2006 when me and my brother Borgy accidentally passed by a auto shop in Mandaluyong where 2 Classic Mini Coopers where being serviced so as a Classic Mini Cooper fanatic I told my brother to stop and check out the Classic Mini Coopers. I was really amazed with this car and appreciated the beauty of a mini. Without thinking I asked the mechanic if these two cars are for sale, I have no intentions of buying for I know that a Classic Mini Cooper is way out of my budget at that time Classic Mini’s are very expensive (price starts at 350K).

But what a surprise when the mechanic answered nope they are not for sale. But I know someone who is selling his extra mini. Hearing those words made me smile a bit but I know that I couldn’t afford it. So my next questions followed where is it and how much. And he answered just across the street and for P200,000. Hearing that made me want to run and jump to the sellers place, We went to the owners place and talked to him and tried to negotiate about the Mini and walah he is from Quezon too and with that he is slashing 50K from the price. and it is SOLD to the new owner NOEL KARL ALBERT ZOLETA.

The date of the acquisition is March 27, 2006 a month earlier from the date that I set for me to buy my first car. I forgot to tell you that I also set an alarm in my cellphone that would alarm and inform me of the that I should have bought a car and it did alarm on that day and I’m happy that a month earlier I already purchased my first car THE CLASSIC MINI COOPER.

thanks to pakito for the pictures and being our back up car just in case something wrong happens on our trip. which luckily nothing happened we reach Lucena in one piece and the mini didn’t have a problem at all
